The Restoration Plot

He died, but now He’s alive. It’s a miracle.

Easter Sunday.

I’m remembering all the pain Jesus took unto His shoulders. All the discomfort and humiliation – just to make sure we have our place with God. He restored creation. After sin had decreated creation, He was restoration. He gave us the provision to be sin-less. He brought a never quenched light into the darkness. No darkness can comprehend His light. He sent a comforter, a friend, a still small voice, living in the depth of our hearts. His Holy Spirit dwells with us and we didn’t even need to fight for that. He gave us the easy job and took the hard one. He gave us the job of having to love Him. Just having to praise and glorify Him. And if you realise how great He is, you’ll realise our praises are nothing compared to what He deserves. Compared to how amazing, and awesome He really is. The human mind cannot even begin to understand how great He is. We aren’t worthy, but He made us worthy. He became Sin. Sin died on that cross. He became Sin so you and I could be spotless. Spotless. Without a spot or blemish. We have become new creatures in Christ Jesus. We have His love working in us. He unfailing, unending, unedifying love, made available to us. Forever. And ever. He did that. And not for His gain, but for our own. What kind of love is that? What manner of man is Jesus? That even death couldn’t hold Him. That even sin couldn’t phase Him. That the gates of Hell weren’t strong enough to keep Him out.

That’s my King. My Lord. The Lord of my life; That’s my Jesus. And your Jesus. The Jesus who fights for us. He is salvation.

And for all of that, I live in continual gratitude.

Thank you Jesus.

Peace&Love. Made available by the Blood of Jesus being shed for us.

Life: Emotionally Stressful

Serious times now..

Okay, recently I have been writing many blogs about life and everything. You probably guessed something was up with me.

Recently, I have been going through a lot emotionally. I hope one day I will be able talk about it openly but for now only a few people know about it. Part of the problem is that I do not know how to not hang onto other people’s problems. Lots of people talk to me about they are going though, and I genuinely do not mind. Actually, it kind of helps me… in a weird way. I forget my stuff and think about other people’s problems. This works for a while but then after a bit, you feel worse than ever. I mean, there is a reason why we don’t carry the whole world on our shoulders. There is also a reason why therapists go to uni or whatever before becoming therapists  Seriously, the mind a…

LAUGHTER

So I am a firm believer that laughter is the best medicine.

Most people who know me, know that I love to laugh. I am that awkward person who laughs a bit louder and longer than everyone else, but I don’t care. I love laughing. I have a great sense of humour – seriously, I’ll sit there laughing for 5 mins about something that could have happened a year ago. All my close friends have great senses of humour because I don’t think I could be close with someone who takes life too seriously all of the time. It would drive me insane. Sometimes we do not need to be reminded of the harsh realities of life.

Don’t get me wrong, I definitely have my moments but I strongly believe smiling and laughing makes you realise that life is worth a while.

Sometimes you need to relax. Be around people…

Why is Friendship so hard?

Why is friendship so hard?

One day you feel on top of the world; the next time you feel unloved.

I would love to say it gets better, but surely, it gets WAY worse before it gets better. Now before you click off this post, hear me out. I am not saying that friendship is not worth it because I am a firm believer of friends being like family. Any one who knows me, knows I am always talking about friendship.

First back to the basics; Friendship is defined as  a relationship between two people who hold mutual affection for each other. - Thanks Wiki.

I don’t necessary agree with the two peoples thing. I believe friendship can be shared between any number of people. Although it is much easier between 2 people. Then again, who wants an easy life(?)

I find friendship hard because I am a very hard person to be compatible with. I am complicated. I…

Reading the Word

Going to get straight to the point- we need to read God’s work daily.

We cannot ‘dodge’ sin by ourselves. It’s always there, to tempt us, to make us fall and without the Holy Spirit, we will fall.

Also so, if you continue to read God’s word, your relationship with God strengthens and you suddenly find it easier to not fall into sin.

So, I propose we read the Bible everyday. I cannot particular say, ‘read 1 chapter a day’ because people need to choose that for themselves. If other people choose it for you, it become less about spending time reading God’s word and more about, ‘Oh, I’m a good person because I read 4 chapters a day.’ It become less about your relationship with God and become more of a routine.

A good way to start is to get the Bible on your phone, since most of us (including me) live off our phones. Some of us have Smartphones, so go into the apps store, apps world or apps market and type in Bible. I use YouVersion but any type of Bible should work. They usually have plans which will get you reading the Bible everyday.

As you read the Bible you get closer with God and understand everything about Him.

Peace&Love.
