I love make up because it gives females freedom to look how they want to and express their individuality. I know a lot of people have the perception that make up makes people ‘fake’ or ‘artificial’ and girls who wear it, only wear it because they’re ‘insecure’. I genuinely believe this is incorrect because make up doesn’t necessarily change the person, as plastic surgery for example would. Make-up should be used to enhance the beauty of girls, not cover it. This post will tell you the best brands to suit your natural complexion and give that natural glow you’re after.
KIKO – Skin Evolution Foundation SPF 10
I’m not a huge fan of foundation (because I have combination skin) but I do love this foundation because it matches the skin so flawlessly. With this foundation there is no more uneven skin for you. One of the main things I love about this foundation is the many different shades it comes in. Obviously, all girls are different skin tones, and this foundation is so precise in its colouring. However, it is quite expensive but it is definitely value for money, as this 30 ml tube lasts for months.
BOBBI BROWN – Moisture Rich Foundation SPF 15
Another foundation that is to die for is Bobbi Brown’s Moisture Rich Foundation. This is such a premium, loved brand because they continue to produce the most amazing luxury products. This is another foundation that really lasts for months. It’s so concentrate that you don’t need to add too much whenever you put it on. On the down side, if you don’t wear a loose powder on top of it, it dries really quickly in certain parts of your face, whilst leaving other spots oily. So every few hours, you’ll need to check your face.
This is currently my daily foundation. It is really ridiculously expensive, but it’s Bobbi Brown so, what can you do about it?
RIMMEL LONDON – Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss
This lipstick basically does what it says on the tin. It’s long lasting and gives an amazingly flawless matte finish on the lips. I like the different colours it comes in, especially the deep plum/burgundy colour I’ve seen on many girls. I think the sharper red looks great on pale, fair skin and the deeper reds look best on darker, ebony skin; just because they complement your facial structure much more when the colour matches your skin tone. £5.49 – http://uk.rimmellondon.com/products/lips/lasting-finish-matte-by-kate-moss
AVON – Color Trend Comb It Mascara
I like this mascara because it’s different from most mascaras out there. This mascara combs out your eyelashes, making them fan out. This makes them look larger and in depth. If you’re a fan of intense eyes, I wouldn’t recommend using this mascara alone; top it with another layer of mascara.
CLINIQUE – Take The Day Off Make Up Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips
This make up remover is pretty amazing. You take a make-up pad or cotton wool, and add a little bit of the serum and all you have to do is run it along your eye lid and all your eye shadow, eye liner and mascara is gone. It’s really good. Although, on the down side, it is really oily on your face, so you end up having to was your face after using it, which isn’t a huge issue. Unless you’re lazy. It’s a little bit pricey, but then again it really lasts for a long time.
RIMMEL – Vinyl Gloss Lipgloss
I love this lipgloss because it gives you a subtle colour and gloss without you looking too try-hard. It looks great on top of lipstick to make you have that juicy lips look, especially over reds and pinks. It also looks great by itself, giving you a natural-looking shine.
