High School is done

If you’re like me, you’ll know that high school is done. Finished. Aand I for one are extremely happy about that. Strangely, I am also really upset.

High school was 4 of the best and worst years of my life. I came in it a small, innocent, clueless child, and left a strong, independent woman. And for that I’m intensely grateful. From high school, I’ve learnt how to deal with situations. High school has given me the knowledge and understanding about the world and has helped shape my point of view of it.

More than once I’ve wanted to get out of it, but sticking with high school was of the best things I’ve ever done. I’m a better person because of it. I’m stronger, smarter and I can now make my impact.

So many people asked me why I chose go to a different college as opposed to staying on in my school Sixth Form. I feel like I’ve reached the highest level I can in my high school, and I need to move to some where else to continue my growth as a person.

Let’s be bluntly honest, my school is full of the must judgement, rude, annoying people you could ever meet. But, despite that, I am eternally grateful for them because they thought me how to deal with people like that in the outside world. They taught me to have a tough skin and to not get offended easily. They helped me understand my self worth and helped me establish that I don’t need peoples approval to feel accomplished. That’s something I will take with me, where ever life throws me.

I feel like I’m not at the end of this journey, I’m just at the beginning. So let’s see what happens.
