“Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”1 Peter 3:15 NLT
Faith in what we cannot see seems crazy to some people. They cannot believe in something without seeing the physical manifestation of the thing. But what they do not realise is that we see the physical manifestation of God in everything and everyone around us. The fact that we went to sleep and woke up in the morning. The fact that we breathe air. The fact that our hearts didn’t forget to keep beating. These are small yet grand things that demonstrate the organisation and consideration of a great power. A much greater power. A one true God. Because if He wasn’t there, what/who would regulate the atmospheric gases to ensure that are breathable. What/who would create invisible barriers to which seas and oceans cannot cross, thereby prohibiting them wiping out the earth. If there isn’t a great power in charge, we as a human race would be miserable and hopeless.
You ask of my hope as a believer, as a Christian. My hope is in Jesus. My hope is in love. My hope is in a perfect future in heaven. A future where there is no sickness, wars or pain. And without this hope, I am nothing.
